Functional Additives

Insoluble Sulfur HS OT20

Introduction:

  • Chemical Name: Polymeric Sulfur
  • Other Name: Insoluble Sulphur
  • Product form: High thermal stability and good dispersibility insoluble sulfur, 20% oil treated powder.
  • Application: Rubber Vulcanizing Agent.
  • CAS NO.: 9035-99-8

Performance:

  • The compound will be non-blooming during the storage period, can maintain uniform performance of rubber components, overcome the compound disadvantage of poor adhension because of blooming, and prevent the pollution of rubber products and molds.
  • There is no transfer phenomena in adjacent fillet, maintain the surface viscosity of compound.
  • Reduce scorching in the process of mixing and storage.
  • Shorten curing time and reduce sulfur usage to improve the ageing performance of rubber products.
  • Increase the adhesion between rubber and other materials.
  • LEATEZ® HS OT20 products also has high thermal stability, high dispersity and the most resistant to convert or restore to ordinary sulfur in the rubber processing temperature, so it can improve the safety and dispersity when compound refining in a high temperature.

Application:

  • LEATEZ® HS OT20 products are widely used in natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers.
  • LEATEZ® HS OT20 can be used for manufacturing tires, rubber belt, rubber tube, seals and other rubber products, especially for radial tire.

Packing and Storage:

  • It is packed in Kraft paper bags lined with plastic film, net weight is 25kg/bag.
  • It should be stored in a dry, clean and cool warehouse; storage temperature should be no more than 40℃. Precautions against fire, moisture, heat and compression agglomerate.
  • It cannot be mixed with alkaline and amine substance.

Low Thermogenesis & Abrasion Resistant Agent LG-1520

Introduction:

  • JERINA® LG-1520 agent consists of Nano-short fiber, Nano-gas phase silicon oxide and boron complex. The agent is a kind of new multi-functional material which produced by in-situ composite, week bond suspended, active coated and diameter expanding of particle technologies.
  • JERINA® LG-1520 agent is a Functional Additive for rubber and tire industry. It is non-toxic, harmless to human and no environmental pollution.

Performance:

  • JERINA® LG-1520 can reduce the porosity and improve the abrasion-resistance of rubber, then improve the compactness and abrasion-resistance of vulcanized rubber products.
  • JERINA® LG-1520 can reduce the thermogenesis of vulcanized rubber by 5% to 10%, and significantly improve the fatigue resistance of rubber.
  • JERINA® LG-1520 has excellent technologies. The new material has interfacial activity component, which can reduce the interfacial energy among all materials in formula. This will stabilize the dimension of rubber sheet and tires, and products surface will be smoother.

Application:

  • Add JERINA® LG-1520 agent together with Zinc Oxide when mixing rubber master-batch.
  • 3~6 phr can be used for tire tread and sidewall, other formula is same as before or make slightly adjustment based on vulcanized speed.
  • For conveyer belt, please refer to the tire application.

Radial Tire Special Material YB-5

Introduction:

  • JERINA® YB-5 is a special material for radial tires, and a high-efficiency toughening modified agent that synthesized from various auxiliaries. It has plasticization, lubrication, cross-linking, coupling and other functions.
  • JERINA® YB-5 also has high-activity inorganic filler as carrier, and the high-activity inorganic filler will dilute the toughening modified agent to form a thin layer of active material on the surface, which is more easily to crosslink with rubber, and significantly improve the reinforcing performance.
  • JERINA® YB-5 mainly applicable to Tire, conveyer belt, rubber hose etc.

Performance:

  • YB-5 can be used directly to the formulation of steel wire tire and engineering tire tread, which can significantly improve abrasion resistance of the tire and processing of semi-finished products, and improve the appearance and shelf life of tires.
  • YB-5 should be added together with carbon black during rubber mixing, easy dispersion and less energy consumption, and rubber compound has good self-adhesion.The semi-finished products are smooth and glossy during extruded process, and dimension is stable, and the product surface is compact, bright and beautiful after vulcanization.The toughness, tear resistance and abrasion resistance of rubber compound are improved, and the ageing resistance of vulcanized product is improved.

Application:

  • Add 3-8 phr JERINA® YB-5 for tire production.
  • YB-5 can be added directly to your original formulation, or you also can make some small adjustment. Optimized vulcanization rate complies with test data and results.
  • Above are suggestions that you can adjust for optimal performance.

Rubber Antifatigue Agent LG-768

  • JERINA® LG-768 agent consists of Non-metallic complex, Carbohydrate, Three-dimensional fiber grafted polymer, Non-metallic oxide and interfacial adhesive agent. The agent is a long-acting adhesion functional new material which produced by special technology.
  • JERINA® LG-768 agent is a Functional Additive for rubber and tire industry. It is non-toxic, harmless to human and no environmental pollution.

Performance:

  • JERINA® LG-768 can improve the ageing-resistance and fatigue-resistance.

The hindered phenol structure formed between phenolic hydroxyl group and methoxyl group on the molecule, which can capture and consume the free radical in rubber to terminate the chain reaction. Therefore, it can improve the ageing-resistance and fatigue-resistance of high polymer material such as rubber.

  • JERINA® LG-768 can improve adhesive performance.

It has excellent technologies. The new material has interfacial activity component, which can reduce the interfacial energy among all materials in formula. This will stabilize the dimension of rubber sheet and tires, and products surface will be smoother.

Application:

  • Add JERINA® LG-768 agent together with Zinc Oxide when mixing rubber master-batch.

Rubber Brightening Agent L-810

Introduction:

  • JERINA® L-810 agent consists of special ester of fatty acid and interfacial agent.
  • JERINA® L-810 agent is a Functional Additive for rubber and tire industry. It is non-toxic, harmless to human and no environmental pollution.

Performance:

  • JERINA® L-810 can improve the brightness and smoothness of tire and conveyer belts appearance.
  • JERINA® L-810 can improve fluidity and lubricity of tire surface, external spraying agent can be replaced totally. It also can avoid bubble, lack of rubber and double rubber layer caused by poor fluidity of rubber.
  • JERINA® L-810 also can be used as release agent.

Application:

  • Add JERINA® L-810 together with Zinc Oxide when mixing rubber master-batch.
  • 2~3 phr of total tire compound can be used for tire tread and tire sidewall.
  • This material will not affect the physical, mechanical and vulcanization properties of rubber product, so the dosage can be adjusted based on the vulcanization speed.
  • JERINA® L-810 should be same application for conveyer belt.

Rubber Heat-resistant Adhesive LG-80

 

Introduction:

  • JERINA® LG-80 agent consists of molecule of reactive hydrocarbons, Nano-silicon dioxide, boron complex and anti-aging new materials. The agent is a new multi-functional material which produced by in-situ composite, weak bond suspended, active coated and diameter expanding of particle technologies.
  • JERINA® LG-80 agent is a Functional Additive for rubber and tire industry. It is non-toxic, harmless to human and no environmental pollution.

Performance:

  • JERINA® LG-80 can improve the adhesion force: In the steel tires, semi-steel tires and engineering tire, the Nano-silicon dioxide, Boron Compounds and molecule of reactive hydrocarbons will be involved in adhesion reaction, which can improve the adhesion between rubber and steel cord, polyester, nylon and other framework materials, meanwhile, the adhesion after aging also can be improved significantly.
  • JERINA® LG-80 can reduce the porosity and improve the compactness of rubber. This new material can effectively capture and consume heating expansion of small molecules under pressure, so it can reduce the porosity, and improve the compactness of the rubber with filling nanomaterial’s gap. Meanwhile, it also can improve the heat resistance and fatigue resistance of final vulcanized rubber products.
  • JERINA® LG-80 has excellent technologies. The new material has interfacial activity component, which can reduce the interfacial energy among all materials in formula. This will stabilize the dimension of rubber sheet and tires, and products surface will be smoother.

Application:

  • Add JERINA® LG-80 together with Zinc Oxide when mixing rubber master-batch.
  • 6~8 phr of total tire compound can be used for tire carcass, rubber sheet, rubber belt, and tire transition layer.
  • More than 15 phr can be used for inner-liner application.

Rubber Homogenizing Agent RH-100

Introduction:

  • JERINA® RH-100 agent is mixture of Aromatic resin, Hydrocarbon resin and high temperature copolymerization of Paraffines..
  • JERINA® RH-100 is same as H40MSF.

Performance:

  • JERINA® RH-100 can improve the homogeneity of polymer blend with different polarities and viscosities, other compound ingredients also can be mixed fast.
  • In the mix cycle, JERINA® HMA-100 can disperse easily into compound, and improve processing performance and batch to batch uniformity, especially for calendaring and extrusion.
  • JERINA® RH-100 can reduce compound viscosity and shorten mixture time.
  • JERINA® RH-100 can improve calendaring and extrusion rate instead of increasing die swell.
  • JERINA® RH-100 can enhance green compound tack, avoid dropping roller.
  • JERINA® RH-100 can improve impermeability apparently, suitable for inner-liner, inner tube and bladder.

Application:

  • JERINA® RH-100 can be incorporated both in the internal mixer or on the mill, it should be added together with the fillers.
  • JERINA® RH-100 can be used for truck tires, passenger car tires, industrial and bicycle tires, retreads, conveyor belts and other technical rubber goods. Recommended to dark colored compounds due to its dark color and added in the first stage..
  • Suggestion ratio: 3-10phr.

Rubber Plasticizer PN-200 (Plasticizer A)

Introduction:

  • JERINA® Plasticizer A is mixture of selected high molecular weight saturated fatty acid zinc salt.

Performance:

  • JERINA® Plasticizer A can reduce the viscosity of natural and synthetic rubber to making it easy to process.
  • JERINA® Plasticizer A can improve the dispersion of filler and rubber chemicals in the rubber compound, and improve scorch safety.
    It also can promote vulcanization and release of vulcanized products to keep the mold clean.
  • JERINA® Plasticizer A canshorten the mixing time, change flowability of unvulcanized rubber, and there is no adverse effect on the bonding of rubber and metal material.
    It can improve storage stability of rubber compound, especially beneficial for vulcanization process.
  • JERINA® Plasticizer A also can improve compression set performance when applied in sealing strip of EPDM.

Application:

  • Add plasticizer A together with rubber compound.
  • Plasticizer A is applicable to NR, SBR, NBR, EPDM etc.
  • Suggested ratio: 1-5phr

Rubber Reinforced Resin S-6H

Introduction:

  • Chemical Structural Formula: -(CH2-CH=CH-CH2) m-(CH-CH2) n-
  • Rubber reinforced resin S-6H is a white fine granular non-polar mixture, it is High Styrene Resin (HSR).
  • S-6H is a special variety of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) series, which is a non-polar polymer made by copolymerization of high content styrene monomer and butadiene monomer using emulsion polymerization technology.
  • Styrene: Butadiene is 82.5:17.5.
  • Combined styrene content is 80-85%.
  • Non-toxic, no odor, low impurity content, stable performance.
  • Its thermal deformation temperature is 70-90℃. Due to the high content of styrene monomer in the main long chain molecule, it has better aging resistance, higher hardness and rigidity, and greater mechanical strength and tear strength.
  • Because of its good mechanical properties, elasticity and excellent compatibility, it has a wide range of applications.

Performance:

  • Rubber Reinforced Resin S-6H is styrene-butadiene copolymer, as the reinforcing resin of rubber, it can also improve the processing performance of compound.
  • It has multiple functions as below when blend with SBR, EVA, NR, BR, NBR, EPDM:
    1. Under the condition of low specific gravity, it has performance of high hardness and elastic modulus, good bending and cutting resistance.
    2. For high mineral filler materials and SBR masterbatches, more cost effective and technical options can be achieved.
    3. Improved processability: Improved sheet calendaring and extrusion processes to improve molding properties.
    4. Physical form (friable fine particles) allows for simple handling and fast dispersion.
    5. It can improve acid and alkali corrosion resistance and tensile strength of products.
    6. On average, for each additional S-6H, the Shore hardness A increases by 1.

Application:

  • Tires as Solid tire, All steel tire and Semi-steel tire, OTR etc.
  • Shoe materials as compact and microporous foam sole, gasket etc.
  • Mechanical parts, as roller, conveyor belt, rubber gasket, etc.

Silane Coupling Agent TESPT

Introduction:

  • JERINA® TESPT is mixture of bis-(γ-triethoxysilylpropyl)-tetrasulfide (50%) and carbon black (50%).
  • JERINA® TESPT has the same function of Si69, and it’s solid form that more convenient for processing.

Performance:

  • JERINA® TESPT has been successfully used as the organic silane coupling agent with multi-functional groups in the rubber industry. It mainly used to enhance the elastic modulus and tensile strength of rubber, remarkably improving wear resistance and compressive performance, at the same time it can reduce the rubber viscosity, save working energy consumption. It is best suitable for polymers containing double bonds and rubbers with hydroxylic fillers in its formula. The suitable fillers include silica, silicate, chalk etc., and the suitable rubbers include NR, SBR, IR, BR, NBR, EPDM and so on.
  • JERINA® TESPT can provide more scorching safety because of its disulfur functional groups which have lower reactivity.

Application:

  • JERINA® TESPT is suitable for polymers like natural r ubber ( NR), isoprene r ubber (IR), s tyrene-e- butadiene rubber (SBR), butadiene rubber (BR), nitrile rubber (NBR), ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), etc.
